Our team consists of authorised healthcare professionals, including general practitioners and nurses. We focus on holistic, patient-centered care that addresses both physical and mental well-being.

Where are your doctors located?

Our doctors offer online telehealth consultations, allowing you to conveniently access our service wherever you are. In-person consultations may be available at a later date. Keep in touch to stay up to date!

Do I need a referral to become a patient?

You don’t need a referral from another practitioner to visit our clinic, although a health summary from your GP will always be helpful. You can become a Horizon Health patient by booking a consultation through our website, simply click the Book Consultation button and sign up.

Our minimum age requirements for patients is 18 years old.

Bookings

Will I be charged any fees for my appointment?

Access to great healthcare is important to us. To keep our promise of convenient and accessible care, we charge affordable rates to all our patients, so you won't be out of pocket seeing our doctors. Please check our pricing section for details on the fees.

Is my information secure on your platform?

Your information is not stored by Horizon Health but is rather stored by third party booking system called HotDoc. HotDoc has a strict privacy policy and takes steps to get your consent before collecting your data.

Do I need my camera on during appointments?

You don't require to have your camera on for your telehealth appointment, however it may be a great addition for your doctor to get to know you better. If you have any preferences please discuss this with your doctor at the beginning of your appointment.

Will my doctor have access to my previous medical history?

Your doctor will not have access to your previous medical history unless you give consent to access your Health Record. They will take a comprehensive medical history at your initial consultation.

What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?

We ask that you provide 24 hours notice for any cancellation or rescheduling of appointments. We understand that there may be some last minute changes to your schedule so we ask that if you need to make a change within the 24 hour period, please call us at 1300 610 023.

Do I need to have a follow-up consultation?

Follow-up consultations are important for your doctor to check your progress on your individual treatment plan and discuss any further options. Your doctor will discuss booking a follow-up appointment and we strongly advise our patients to consider this ongoing throughout their treatment.

Treatment Plans

Will I receive a prescription after my appointment?

Your doctor will discuss the best treatment plan for you at your initial consultation. Within this treatment plan, you may be eligible for alternative natural therapies. The provision of a prescription is at the discretion of your doctor, based on what you discuss in your consultation.

How much will my treatment plan/prescriptions cost?

The cost of your prescriptions will vary depending on the product and quantity. If you have any concerns regarding the costs of your treatment, please raise this with your doctor during your initial consultation. This will help distinguish which medications may be most suitable for you.

Can I choose what I want prescribed?

If there is a specific medication that you have in mind, don't hesitate to bring this up with your doctor at your consultation. They will discuss the most suitable option with you and take your preferences into consideration to find the best plan forward.

Will my prescriptions include repeats and how many?

The provision of repeats will be at the discretion of your doctor. In many instances, repeats are provided on prescriptions but the number will depend on the specific treatment plan you have discussed with your doctor.

How long will my repeats last?

Most prescriptions have a 6 month expiry, after this point you will not be able to use them and will need to have a follow-up consultation with your doctor.

Does Medicare or PBS cover the cost of my medication?

‍At present, there is no rebate available from Medicare or PBS on the cost of your treatment plan. If you are a member of a private healthcare fund, you may be able to obtain a rebate on your prescriptions.

Who can I ask for assistance regarding my mediation?

Our team is available to assist you regarding your medication on weekdays from 9am to 5pm AEST. We recommend you call the team on 1300 610 023. If your questions are regarding changing or reviewing your medications, you will need to book in for a follow-up appointment with your doctor.

What do I do if I’m experiencing side effects?

If you are experiencing side effects, please contact our team as soon as possible on 1300 610 023. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 000 immediately.
